Patricia Mandell
Patricia Mandell: nonfiction writer, 48, mother of two children, ages 7 and 10, lives in Wellesley, MA. 20+ year of print journalism, in daily newspapers, magazines and travel books. Writes web content, essays and memoir.

Paula Gillingham Bender
Paula Gillingham Bender was raised uptight and Catholic in South Jersey. She escaped the mediocrity by joining the USAF when she was 19. She hasn't been back since, except for once yearly visits. But she does miss the hoagies, cheese steak sandwiches and the best seafood on the planet. So what if she lives in Hawaii! The seafood does not compare.

Paula is the editor at Dateline Media in Hawaii. The firm is a member of the Media Monitoring Network and is affiliated with both the Internationational Association of Broadcast Monitors and with News Data Services on the Internet. She's been writing professionally since 1989 when she started at The Honolulu Advertiser as an editorial assistant. She also has worked at Pacific Business News as a business reporter covering Hawaii's tourism, high-tech, transportation, finance, medical and restaurant industries. Other writing opportunities have included writing for Sports Illustrated, the Chicago Tribune, the Houston Chronicle, various Internet Web sites, and publications in Hawaii.

From March 1999 until June 2002, Paula had been a Stay-At-Home Mom. She gave birth to her first child, Sophie Gabrielle Bender, September 22, 1999. Her second child, Charlotte Madeleine, was born June 28, 2001. Both girls fill her days with amazing feats. It is all she can do to pry herself out of the house to go off to work for a couple of hours each evening. When she comes home, genuine squeals of delight greet her. Most of the time they are from her girls but sometimes her husband, John, indicates he is just as pleased. As he should be. He now feeds the girls supper and bathes them before Paula gets home from work each evening.

Peggy Loudon
Peggy Loudon (Peg908) is the widowed single parent of two girls -- Francesca, 15 and Annabelle, 9. Her greatest desire/goal in life is to be able to quit her fulltime job as assistant director of an art foundation in NYC and stay home writing fulltime. She has completed three mystery novels, has an agent, but no publisher in sight yet. She is writing on-line for Writermom.com, KSfun.com and soon for NoahSays.com
