A Wahmble of Wuhds and Other Such Interesting Stuff and Fluff

Hello everyone. I know I haven't been posting much, but that's not because I haven't been around. I'm behind the scenes, working on the yearbook (and a few other exciting things you will all know about real soon -- hehehe -- yes, I'm teasing), as well as keeping a few of my fellow Momwriters motivated (you
know who you all are!!!).

But, with all of the events of late I know there is a lot going on behind the scenes of all Momwriters. We're all worried, afraid, scared, busy, going through our own trials and problems, and may just be plain worn out. And, if you add on top of that any medical problems, PMS, and the full moon, well, I think you can see where I'm going with this.

I started thinking about things (maybe a bit too much) and ended up coming up with a version of a "rede" I had read many years ago (don't remember where -- sorry). I modified it a bit and viola!! The Momwriters (or Mom/Writer) Rede.

The Momwriters (or Mom/Writer) Rede:

1. Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.
2. Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
3. Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one has ever succeeded in accomplishing this, what makes you think you can?
4. Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one thing at a time anyway.
5. Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make poor bedfellows and lumpy pillows.
6. Thou shall not borrow other people's problems. They can better care for them then you can.
7. Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or bad; it is gone forever, but never forgotten. Concentrate on what is happening in your life here and now.
8. Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and believe it or not, there are some who know more then you do.
9. Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90 percent of it is rooted in self-pity, and will only interfere with positive action.
10. Thou shall count their blessings, never to forget the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to one very big one.
11. Thou shall make time for her/his own needs and wants, as you are no good to anyone else if you are not good to yourself.
12. Thou shall remember the Mom/Writer golden rule, "Dreams don't depreciate."

So, take a minute and read over the above -- what applies to you?

Keep the change!!

Until our words join our hearts once again....

Carma
