For now, the collection seems to consist primarily of classics and works of dead authors, but new "etexts" are being added all the time. In time, you may never have to go to a bookstore--electronic or otherwise--again. http://www.gutenberg.net On-line telephone directory using reverse lookups (meaning, you enter the phone number, and it tells you who the number is issued to) http://www.555-1212.com/ Light pens - for writing in dark places at Global Sources Products for Writers & Creative Pros - http://www.masterfreelancer.com/ Writer's Pocket Tax Guide - http://foolscap-quill.com/wptginfo.html Aphorisms Galore! encourages you to "feed your wit." The site is more than just an index of witty sayings by famous people. It's also quite readable on its own, with especially interesting quotations posted on its home page. You can enter words in the Search box or browse by author or category (Love & Hate, for example). The site also offers customization features that allow you to place quotations from favorite categories or authors at your fingertips. http://www.aphorismsgalore.com Faxing. All faxes get sent to your email address (yes, technology is wonderful), and you get them within 1 minute. If you want to make use of this service (it is Free, you just have to be connected to the Internet), go to http://www.efax.com. When I was a reporter, I used to get story ideas by the tons ... usually
someone would call me on the phone and ask me to do a story about someone
or thing, or a press release would spark an idea for me .... But I had
so many of them, I couldn't keep up. Are you aware of/have you been using the U.S. PO's new "delivery confirmation" service? It's this fairly new thing the post office has. You pay an extra 35 cents on first class or Priority Mail (I think it's 60 cents on other, cheaper classifications) and you get a confirmation receipt number. Later, you can call an 800 number or, like I do, go to the post office web site (www.usps.com) and type in the number to see if/when your stuff was delivered. You can even click on a "what happened earlier" icon and you'll get a whole time line of where your mail/package was sent, what time, where it went next, what time, right up to the delivery time at its destination. Does anyone have the address for the site where I can download journaling programs??? GO to www.download.com and type in 'journal' inn the search engine .. there are several good programs there ... Download a Prayer Journal from www.download.com ... its a really great program The Marketing Resource, at http://www.marketingresource.com offers a quote every day (such as "Do not use a hatchet to remove a fly from your friend's forehead"), which, if not entirely applicable to the business of marketing, can make you the star of the status meeting. Of course, the site offers plenty of informative articles, too--just in case you're one of the few substance-over-style types in the business. There are several sites on the web that have reduced air fares every
now and again...
