My site is used by writers, students, teachers, historians. All it contains is URLs, very, very carefully selected over a two year period. Most URLs lead to more quality URLs. These include mega-sites, primary sources, timelines, maps, statistics, specific search engines, and general URLS for Place & Periods or Topics & Methods or Resources. On this site you can research traditional historical topics for background to an article or a book plus biographies, pop culture, social history, women's history, world beliefs & folklore, science and math history, military history, and so much more.

It is a hierarchical site so you may have to feed several words into the search engine or go to several places before you find what you want. For example, if you wanted information on a specific Native American rite, you would first go to Places & Periods, then Americas, then North America, then Native Americans, then you would try several words, hoping they would get you to a URL with the information you need. You need to be forewarned that I did not set up the search engines, historians did, and their use of vocabulary is somewhat different from the layperson!
